Omron Compact PLCs: Compact PLCs contain all components in one unit, ie power supply, CPU, all outputs and inputs. These can often be obtained in a pre-scaled form for different voltages.

Omron Modular PLCs: Modular PLCs can be built from prefabricated modules. In this way, PLCs can be built to suit our own needs and thus perform tasks that would be difficult to accomplish with compact controllers. These systems are easier to expand.
